school life at ntu♥dance ; dance ; dance
HELLO :)
So basically, school has started for me and week 1 of school was rather slack. Cos there were only lectures, so i had only like classes from 8.30to 12.30 on tues and then 2.30 to 4.30 on wed.. The rest of the time was spent in the hall.. like hanging out at friends room.. playing card games, mahjong (which i totally died in the hands of 3 other seniors.. they are all so pro lahh.. Sld be play alot for the past few yrs. everyday nth to do then play mahjong. haha), watching movies.. And i ate alot.. Mac for supper for 2 consecutive days... at very late timings like 3 a.m... But all these were fun.. We were still in the orientation mood.. So it seems that everyone was quite bored in their rooms and we kept looking for one another.. haha And we gossiped alot.. So much so that each time there were gossip, dunno why ppl will end up saying "cherie is the one who said that" haha.. Sabrina and i are the gossip queens of block 52. :P And once we got so bored that we walked 1 round from our hall, to hall 9 then to 3 n 16 and so forth all the way back to our hall.. haha.
So back track a little..
Had my hall FOC last week.. Didn't go for 2 days cos of driving, which i passed fortunately, accumulating a total of 6 demerit points.. whee.. i can drive now.. But still quite terrible at parking.. Cos we used poles during test and the school car had arrows on its window.. so i roughly noe when to turn n all.. But when parking next to a car, its totally different. :S I still remember i was being rather polite and sweet during the test.. Like nodding my head and said "okay" sweetly everytime the tester asked me to do sth.. like turn right or wadever. haha. My instructor was telling me that i had to respond to the tester (which i tink i didn't do so the first time round) ahha..
And so, i didn't really felt super high during the orientation cos during the 4th day when i went back i hurt my toes while playing games at sentosa.. Cos i hit onto some rocks..So, i didn't really play much for initiation night.. Then the last day was SP night.. Quite sian.. I had like nth to talk to that guy during the whole night.. Jux got no chemistry lahh.. Plus i had to bear with his loud music during the entire ride to the dinner place.. U see, he had this mp3 player and instead of listening the songs tru the earpiece, he simply blasted the song throughout the journey.. Other than that, he was quite nice lahh.. Peeling prawns for everyone to eat..
So, after sp night, my og went to the hooters at clarke quay.. So, yar.. drank quite abit and as u noe, my face will go red easily, so everyone thought that i was drunk but i wasn't at all.. And they kept saying that the fact that i kept insisting that i wasn't drunk meant iwas really drunk.. Wad rubbish.. ahha... And when we went back to the hall, we continued to play drinking games.. Super fun.. :)
Then monday night was the inter hall bash @ Zouk. We left like quite early cos we had class @ 8.30 in the morning.. Imagine going clubbing and then leaving at like ard 12.30. haha. It was super crowded and ppl kept pushing at the dance floor.. Plus they anyone mix the drink.. Although we ordered like vodka plus orange, i felt like i was drinking orange juice!
Then there was the signing up for electives part.. I had only 12 AU s this semester, which is very little. So, i'm required to take an electicve.. But i logged on to the system late and almost all the electives were being taken up, leaving only electives like chinese.. I couldn't even take maths or econs even though there were vacancies cos most of them req prerequisits.. Oh my tian. Can u imagine how pek chek i was.. Cos seriously this is the best time to clear some of my AUs for electives.. So i kept going to the website to take a look but there were no vacancies.. Thank god someone suddenly dropped his elective, which is "media in america".. So, i hurriedly added it although i don't really noe what is it about and whether it will be difficult. Oh well, worse come to worse, i shall SU it.. haha
So, tutorials and seminar start next week and there are alot of reading to be done.. Although i tried reading, nothing seemed to go into my head.. Still in the slack mode.. Plus it seems that they req us to start debating during our first seminar on mon.. Wahh.. like totally not prepared for it.. luckily no marks will be given for the first few rounds..
So now, i'm thinking of what cca to join to enrich my uni life.. "_" and i dun really noe wad i want to do..
But seriously i hope that hall life will not be a big distraction for me.. Like playing every night and all. Its time to exercise some self-discipline next week! But i love the ppl at blk 52.. they are really great friends. every single one of them :)
