My brain is slowly warming up. It is beginning to activate. I can feel it cos now, whenever my sis asks me maths qns, the ans comes quickly. Its not like last time when i took soo long to figure out and read and re-read the qns for dunno how many times.. In school too, when a kid asked me how to do a particular qn.. involving ratio, i couldn't explain to him on the spot.. So, i pretended that i haven't really read the qn yet and while i pretended to read the qn again, i'll think super hard for the ans.. haha.. So, its a good sign that my brain power is slowly coming back.. jux in time when uni starts. :)

Work @ Ngee Ann Primary has officially ended for me. :) This is after 6 months of work, 6 months of waking up early everyday. I'm glad that the teachers there are quite nice although i'm pissed at some ppl or rather 1 person..

I started off as an LMA - teachers' assistant. So, i had to help teachers prepare ws, photocopy, babysit classes etc etc. Brainless but tiring job when all the work come one aft another. But i'm glad to have sharon, tianqi and jasmine there too. So, we basically talked and laughed alot in the very quiet HOD room. haha then i got transferred to the front desk cos they said there were too many LMAs. Reason given was i was more out going. Like total crap lahh. haha

So, I've actually learnt alot during these 6 months, esp the times when i was transferred to be at the front desk. The period of time when i have to pick up phone calls, answer parents who are unreasonable and at the same time frustrated at certain things. They would want to demand to see this and that teacher or vp or p without any appointment. The challenging part was when students and parents started to enter the general office once the school bell rang - some wanted to make phone calls, some parents wanted to find teachers, some students injured.. So, NAPS general office is pratically like a wet market. Very different from other school's office, which is always quiet. So, basically, its tough handling the ppl.. And this is added on to the amount of admin work i had to do too - faxing, typing certain stuff, daily attendance recording, opening email, opening letters.... So, sometimes when i was very busy with the admin work and parents and students started coming in, it really irritated me.. I still remember there was a phone call, when the parent started shouting and screaming so loudly that ppl in the surrounding could clearly hear the scream. And the reason for it is that she claimed that someone put down the phone when she called, which we obvoiusly did not do so. So, yup, i had to deal with all sort of ppl. But i'm sure this is a good experience for me and i'll certainly know how to deal with all sort of ppl in the future :)

So, Jasmine and i went to find sharon and tianqi after work. Had swenson for dinner, plus ice-cream. it had been a longg time since i had such a filling meal. haha. met alot of ppl in parkway. and it seemed that they are all alrdy enjoying their well-deserved holidays and yst was the start of my holidays only. Work has made me seem so sua ku.. like i didn't know there is the mango sales and i had to also ask sharon like where else got sales... haha cos she has been doing alot of shopping lately. hee.. BUT i have to contain my urge for shopping cos of the taiwan trip.. and i needed sharon and tianqi's help to prevent me from going into the mango shop.. ahah.

Plus i have jasmine who made sure that i dun eat that much so that i can eat more in taiwan.. (i told her to remind me to dun eat when i have sudden cravings out of no where) so when i felt like eating nuggets at work at 10 plus, jas was like saying, tahan abit, going to lunch time.. haha..


One of my colleague once commented that i was noisy in the hod room but like super sian at the general office. yea. cos there is the p and vp there. plus the ppl there are sort of at a different frequency from me, thou there is also one who is of almost the same age as me.Nevertheless,the general office ppl were very nice to me. Like Rachel and Pat, who gave me things when i was abt to leave and they thanked me for my help. haha. But i'm being paid to do so... lol

I am so glad that Tianqi is back safe and sound.Her courage to go japan alone is sth that i admire. She has indeed stepped out of her own comfort zone. :)

Ahhhhhhhh. I'm super BORED now!! There is nothing for us to do and there is still 1 more hr till i end work, 1 more day till i seriously stop working and 5 more days to Taipei. Oh, i so love counting down. :D

So, now jasmine and i are taking turns to blog and searched for videos on youtube.. We just saw a film made by TJcians for the TA open house.. Its quite well filmed i should say and Mr. Sim is very funny in it.. hee :) Oh oh, and Mr. Hsu appeared briefly in it too.. haha. Go watch it. :p

And i've gained weight. I have not been exercising. =.=

But i should seriously stop complaining cos its not as if I'm in some disaster struck area. There are soo many out there who are much more pitiful than I am.. Shoo, cherie!!

I miss Tj all of the sudden. I dun want to be stuck here doing nth.. I want to study! :P

Today was quite slack at work. Other than laminating 9 pieces of certs and giving the newspapers out to class, we basically did nothing. So, we were chatting, gossiping, surfing the net etc etc.. and were rather loud. Wonder wad would others think.. haha. But anyway, its THE SCHOOL itself who wants us to come back. So, they shouldn't complain about us even if we have got nth to do! Jasmine was rather happy that we dun have to do much and yet collect pay. But i would rather keep myself busy... Give me some work to do!! :)

Spent 1.5 hr travelling to NTU for my medical checkup today. Met Qianyu for lunch first before going there. The school is freaking big and the map that they sent us didn't really help. We met 2 other girls on the bus, so we went to the medical centre together after searching for a while. So, x ray, urine test, eye checkup, measuring of blood pressure etc etc were done. Obtaining the urine for the test was quite disgusting and we girls kept asking one another how to do it.. haha.. Asked ard how to get to the student service centre but their instructions didn't really help. So, we spent quite a while finding the place, jux to hand in the FTL and Giro forms.

Met Xue li there too! Was talking to her and i realised that she is also going to Taipei with her friend. So, it seems that Taipei is quite a good place to go to with friends. (alot of ppl are doing so) haha. So apparently she is going on the 7th, the day when we return to s'pore! And our itinerary is about the same.. So it seems like popular places to go are: ferris wheel, dan shui, ding tai fung, xmd, shilin night market, wu fen pu, jiu fen.. And she was telling me that she's going to the place where san cai and dao ming shi (in meteor garden) sat in the car to eat ice-cream. haha. And the school where they filmed the movie "secret". So, basically we jux exchanged information on places to go in Taipei.

So, its confirmed that i'm staying with wenxin at the hostel. Just submited my application form today. :) And my dad will be passing me his laptop so that i can use in uni while he will be getting another. Well, i dun mind althou its 1 yr old cos its quite good a brand - sony vaio, but not those pretty , colourful ones. Its plain black and sleek. :) But there are still many things that are yet to be done - collection of cert frm TJ, going to the bank and i must do all these before i go to taiwan! (i can't find any time this week to do so cos i'm still working! Rahh!) Maybe i should ask my bro to collect the cert for me on my behalf since he will be going there for track trainings. haha.Plain lazy of me :p

I'm blogging from work :) So yup, NAPS has asked me to work for another 1 week and since they have hired another admin staff, I am now working as LMA. So it seems that they like to transfer people here and there. Luckily, my level of tolerance is quite high.. I'm able to tolerate such stuff.. hee.



But I'm quite pissed off with SOMEONE at work. Someone who is lack of organisation skills, someone who loves to shift the blame to others. So that someone apparently asked students to come to school to use the computer for their e-learning session since they do not have internet access at home. So, the timing given was super fantastic: Anytime during the holidays, so long as not too late. So i assumed that they were free to look after the students and all. But when students started to come in, he told me that he's busy and even got the nerve to tell me that its the students themselves who wanted to come. None of his business.. ?!?! Gosh, can't believe such irresponsible ppl actually exist. So, he asked me to tell them to wait outside. When i probed further, like wait till what time and all, he answered "dunno "in an irritated tone. Worst still, he asked them to wait till 2 and at 2 he went off for lunch. Like totally irresponsible. And we, at the front desk had to handle those parents that complained and all.. I can go on and on about it and say the 1 million or 1 billion or infinity bad points about him, but i shall stop. I'm sure tianqi, sharon and jasmine can add on to the bad points of this person.



Okay. Enough of that. It seems that no one knows that i'm back as an LMA.. Thats why i have little work to do.. haha.. And since it had been a long time since i last blogged, i made use of this time to do so. :)



Updates on my life:

#1 I failed my driving test. Yea, due to my carelessness and of cos partly bcos of the weird tester who asked me to turn at a weird place, which i have never turned before in the circuit. So, yes, i immediate failure as i didn't give way to on coming vehicle. Quite a stupid mistake i should say. oh well, i've to make sure it doesn't happen again. My instructor and the warm up instructor was quite shocked that i didn't pass. So, i guess due to the great hopes that was placed on me, i should say i was rather disappointed over the test results.



#2 Lots of uni applications yet to be done and i have to do so by this week before i leave for taiwan. So, i guess its much confirmed that i'll be staying with Wenxin in the hostel. Shall try it out for 1 yr.. Time to be independent for once.. :)

Ate bread for all my meals tdy. Had subway for lunch, BK for dinner, Toastbox for supper. hee.

Went to kbox @ suntec with shi ying tdy. It has been a while since i've last been to kbox! And we sang 4.5 hrs non-stop! hee. Met liting there. She was working there and bcos of her, we get to extend the hours. If not we can only sing for 3 hrs. :)

Then we went to the pc show. Saw limin buying a notebook there, with her mum. And then went to Cannon booth to find Shi Fang and Daphne.. haha. They looked super professional. hee.

The IT show had so many ppl that we have to wait for our turn for at least 1.5hrs jux to sign up for the starhub broadband, which gives a free hp laptop.. Not me who wanted to sign up.. I was only accompanying shi ying..

Then after that went to join my family who was also at the pc show.. My dad was looking at the laptops as he wanted to buy 1 for me to bring to uni.. And super embarassing lah. He went to the sony Vaio to see..Then he lifted up the laptop (the super small 1) and then banged it on the table, saying that no matter how hard we bang it, it is still very strong and hardy.. or wadever lah. forgot the actual term for it. (cos he owns one himself and finds that its quite good esp when travelling overseas as he has to put it in the luggage..) So the salespeople all stared at him, suprised and a little amused at what he was doing.. haha.. They even said that it can be their new gimmic tomorrow to entice ppl to buy.. dots.. my father did the banging action not juz once, but a few times. haiz. thats my dad..

I screwed up my revision lesson today and my instructor freaked out. And he blamed it on Friday the 13th. (cos all his students screwed up everything tdy - all the EXCELLENT AND SURE PASS ONE students. hee. abit bhb.. :p)

But although its friday the 13th, i was quite lucky cos i was supposed to get a Ferre Trolley travel bag for free but as it was out of stock, they gave me a Samsonite one. :) A brand that my dad has been eyeing on..

Went to the IT show and saw daphne there working! haha. My mum saw her and commented that she looked very active and hyper. A pity that i didn't get to see ang shi fang. :p The IT show attracted a super huge crowd.. Cos usually suntec would be very quiet and the number of carpark lots available will be like in 1000s. It was hard to find parking today.. haha. But i'm still not a fan of IT show.. Like see those IT stuff aso no money to buy..

(I'm packed for the next 2-3 weeks. No more idiling at home. Meet-ups, work, driving, Taiwan trip.. )

BACK from Bangkok. :)

Rather siann at bangkok cos it was the same as last time. Nth new at all.. Always MBK, Siam centre, food, some temples, foot reflexology, shopping, night market.. Except for lesser Sigaporeans and more Indians and Ang Mohs.. Really, there is an increase in number of Indians and Ang Mohs. Wonder where do Singaporeans go to nowadays.. hmm. But then at least there is a chance to go overseas. Better than not going and i'm thankful for that :)

Stayed at hotel that we had 3 nights free cos of some membership that my dad have. But the hotel was one of the worse that i have stayed - Small lobby, corridor is not air-conditioned, not carppeted at the tv area, only the bed area, a weid smell when we went in, no free breakfast, have to pay but at half the price.. Walao. All these for $100 plus one nite.. Asking ard, I realised that other hotels which are sooo much better, cost ard the same price, or even cheaper!! We wanted to change the hotel to somewhere which is of a similar price.. but then my dad's friend straight away made enquiry to a hotel which cost $300 plus a night.. And my dad came up with an excuse saying that this hotel is convenient. We can't possibly change to another hotel since we rejected my dad's fren's offer. So, we had to stay put in that hotel.. But that hotel is really convenient.. near to the MTR station and a shopping place.

So, for 2 days, my dad and my bro went to play golf with a few friends.. So, my mum, sis and i had to go round bangkok ourselves - in jux a day.. we bought alot of things.. Shoes, bags, hair accessories, clothes.. Since alot of things are going at 199, i bought 3 pairs of shoes and a few basg. haha.. And since they sell all similar stuff everywhere, it seems like we have done our shopping in bangkok alrdy. So, when my dad and bro finish their golf session, we had to go to those places that we have been to again, cos they wanted to buy some stuff too..

As usual, we had dinner with my dad's friends and of cos dinner was gooddd.. haha. A claypot of sharkfin for each person, tom yum soup with lobster, lobster, fish and more fish, beijing duck, minced duck etc etc. Then another dinner was seafood.. wahh. I can feel my waistline expanding can. My dad's friend is like super rich that's why the hotel he wanted to book was also very expensive.. haha. And upon knowing that i'm going to taiwan, he asked if i want him to treat us to dinner.. (his a taiwanese who shuffles between Thailand and Taiwan) haha. I guess this is how rich people behave. He sld have given me the money instead of dinner and i can buy a branded bag :P

I wanted to buy some branded stuff.. like u noe, esprite those kind and tot that it will be cheaper there. But then, all the branded things in bangkok are more expensive than in Singapore. I wonder why. =.= lol.

We also took a boat and wanted to go to bangkok palace. But it was closed on that day (cos the king was visiting). So, a tourist police whom we met while walking told us to go to another place, which is only opened once a year.. It is the place where all the ashes of the royal family are being placed. So, we are quite lucky in a sense to meet the police cos little tourist know about it. We also saw the ceremony of a guy becoming a monk. An eye-opener I should say. hee :)

And, I wonder how the people in the Thai airport do things.. Cos when we collected our luggage, we realised that the lock for one of the bags is not there anymore. Dun tell me the airplane underwent some turbulance and the lock gt forced open arh.. where got so easy come off one.. Mayb they checked our luggage. But they are not supposed to! Plus we found a pouch that has lipstick, thermometer, scissors in my dad's golf bag.. Dun tell me they tot it was their bag and put it there in the last minute.. Cos it is a GOLF BAG. Not many people or rather none brought golf bag to thailand other than us (from wad i have observed). Luckily nothing was lost frm our luggauge.. o.o

I have this feeling that this is the last trip to Thailand. Its the same as Msia. In the past, we used to keep going to Msia.. Once every year. Then we stopped going there (It has been a few years since we last gone to KL or genting cos we find it siann) and we kept going to Thailand. Now, we find Thailand to be boring, so i guess we may stop going there for holidays.

Today:

- woke up just i time for lunch
-went for driving (my instructor was like telling me to go whichever way i want. cos we are practically jux driving around)
-Mummy came to fetch me after driving and we thought that we will straight away go fetch my bro who was having track training at tj
-Waited for 1.5 hrs for him to come out cos we didn't noe that his training session would end late
-Went to the hawker centre opp school.. wanted to jux have a drink but ended up eating fried kuay teow, pig organ soup, sugar cane (It was at 4 plus, 5.)
-When my bro finally came out, we went to century square to modify the psp.. ($30 jux to unscrew cetain parts. )
-Then dinner again (@ard 7 p.m.) @ Billy Bombers. lol. Think the nicest was the BEN & JERRY ice cream -dessert for the set meal. - of cos i shared with my mum 2 main course.. so it was quite alot too!

So the main point is that i'm spending my holz eating and eating without exercising! Hmm.Maybe i can go running with my bro since he needs to train hard.. His nationals is in like july and he trains super little (he jux keeps poning lah)

Quick updates on my life:
#1 Mummy bought PSP for us. Her reason for doing so is that everyone in my father's side is having it. How can we not own one then? haha. Okay. Apart from that, my brother also promised her that he will study hard. (Like real) So i gain from it too! haha (Although i'm not really into these type of games. heh!)
#2 Bought for my brother sth (cos i promised him a present since i'm working now) haha. Cost a bomb i tell u. Don't know if the underwears are made of gold or wad.. So expensive.. More than $200 for only 5 underwears.
#3 Stopped shopping in singapore despite the sales. I'm sure bangkok will be far cheaper.
#4 Eating alot and not doing any exercises. Boo!

I must cut down on the shoppings in Singapore! I really dislike squeezing with the crowd. Not to mention that particular incident (in the previous post), which pissed me off.. I'm sure i can find cheaper stuff overseas. :) To woan yun and daphne (wy especially): Start saving now! We are going to buy back the whole of Taipei.. hee!

Driving as usual today. Both my instructor and I were quite tired.. So we started playing music throughout the lesson. haha. And my insturctor was super high - he started singing. lol.

I'm bored.. Luckily there is an overseas trip to look forward to during the June holiday. :D

Yesterday

Watched Chronicles of Narnia- Prince Caspian yesterday @ suntec eng wah. Although i'm not really a fan of this type of movie, I quite enjoyed the movie yesterday :) Quite good i would say.. The movie was quite long - 2.5 hrs, so it was alrdy 12 a.m. when it finished.. Suntec is quite creepy at night. :s

Saturday

Went to mind's cafe at night. Really shouted till my voice was a little hoarse at the end of the session.. It was when i was completely awake.. (Cos i was feeling very very sleepy and was stoning when we were shopping for stuff) So, it also shows that i am more awake in the night than in the afternoon.. 0.0 We also ate the bak kut teh at bugis (first time eating with friends) but it wasn't that nice. Quite different from last time when my dad brought me there to eat... Same place, same store, but differnet taste.. lol.
And I was happily discussing with the rest about the plans for this coming Sat.. then i realised that I will not be in singapore then !! ahh.. haha. Well, hope that they have fun without me. I know its a little difficult to do so, but try k? haha :p


Having driving lesson later. Having heard some of daphne's and si hui's complaints, I feel quite lucky that my lessons have been smooth sailing all these while.. Didn't encounter problems like having to wait long for test dates etc :)
